Horizon Forbidden West (from 62,00 € at Buy) was published on February 18, 2022 for PS5 and PS4 and, according to the international press, is in no way in its predecessor. Also we rated the game in our test with “excellent”. Guerrilla Games, however, continues to work hardly on optimizations and has now published the patch 1.06. Among other things, numerous improvements include crash surveys that have occurred since Patch 1.05. The patch also resolves points that occurred during intermediate sequences and “unwanted charging screens” in the game.
Guerrilla Games also resolves one for players annoying habit, which Aloy had. Hopefully you will be glad that Aloy no longer mentions your stock as often as soon as possible. There are also numerous corrections for home and co-missions. The activities in the world of Forbidden West, such as the sales contracts, were revised in terms of visual disturbances and storage problems.
Finally, a number of graphics issues were resolved. Among them are blur, camera wackler, unexpected lighting changes, missing details and false models. You can read the complete list of version 1.06 bug fixes in the patch notes.
While the patch fixes many problems that have been reported by players since the publication of the game, there is still a lot that needs to be resolved. Guerrilla Games has stated that one is aware of it and work on appropriate solutions.
